Caseworking - SSAFA Course

About the course

Course Aim

At the end of the course, participants will be familiar with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to manage a client case in its entirety from caseworking to uploading the case on to Mosaic.

Course Outline

Originally this was a bespoke two-day course aimed at those employees and volunteers of Constituent member charities preparing them to make home visits to serving and ex-seafarers. This package was based on the SSAFA Forces Help model and they kindly provided their own trainer. Since 2012, SSAFA have agreed to open their own courses to staff and volunteers from the maritime charities. This allows personnel flexible access to their numerous courses around the UK. They have also increased the maritime content in their courses.

SSAFA are now offering Caseworker Courses (covering Mosaic) which are available to our Constituent organisations.  They offer the choice of Virtual (3x webinars) or Face to Face (3x day course) training. Dates and venues are available on request.
