Falklands 40 Event - 14th June 2022

Posted on 23rd December 2021

The Merchant Navy Association National has been tasked by the Royal British Legion (RBL) to inform Merchant Seafarers and shore personnel preparing the STUFT Merchant Navy ships involved in the 1982 Falklands conflict, about the large event that they are organising on Tuesday, 14 June 2022, at the National Memorial Arboretum (NMA), Alrewas, Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the conflict ceasefire.

The NMA is situated off the A38 about 9 miles south west of Burton-on-Trent.  It is planned for about 10,000 to attend the event.  Attendees will be required to make their own way there and travel information will be issued later.

The Merchant Navy Association has been requested to obtain details of guests requiring tickets, as soon as possible.  The number of tickets that will be allocated is unknown at present so this will work on a “First come, first served” basis.
