MNWB Trustee awarded OBE

Many well deserved congratulations to our MNWB trustee, Richard Ballantyne, Chief Executive of the British Ports Association, who has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list. The award is in recognition of Richard’s services to the maritime industry, which over the past two years have involved working tirelessly with government and industry to ensure ports’ contribution to keeping the country supplied and the needs of the industry were well understood by government.

The New Year Honours list recognises the achievements of a wide range of extraordinary people across the United Kingdom. MNWB would also like to congratulate a host of inspirational figures, working across the maritime charity sector and industry, that have been recognised in this year’s prestigious New Year’s Honours list including:

Janet Patricia Webber, Director of Development, The Mission to Seafarers. For services to Women in the International Maritime Sector

Natalie Charlotte Shaw, Director, Employment Affairs, International Chamber of Shipping. For services to Seafarers during the Covid-19 Pandemic
