Posted on 12th August 2020

The Boards PWC Manager Sarah Edward and Executive Assistant Celia Jackson were excited today to have been able to attend their first ‘work outing’ in months in a car park in Southampton Docks!

The Nautical Institute have been presenting Certificates of Appreciation to people and organisations that have gone above and beyond to support seafarers during the current pandemic.

The Nautical Institute Solent Branch Chairman, Capt. Martin Phipps, ABP was delighted to present a certificate today to John Attenborough, Port Chaplain, Mission to Seafarers for the stirling work he has been doing to support seafarers, including getting vital medications to crew members who had been extended due to the pandemic.

A certificate was also presented to Mr Eric Williams, the Chairman of Williams Shipping.  Williams Shipping have been assisting seafarers where they can including running launches in the middle of the night out to ships in the Solent to disembark crew and bring them ashore so they can get to Heathrow for their early morning flights.

A big thank you  to John and Eric and his team at Williams Shipping for the support they are providing to seafarers during this difficult time.
