TYNE WELFARE COMMITTEE

The Tyne Port Welfare Committee (PWC) meets three times per annum. Meeting venues usually alternate between the offices of Tyne Port Authority, RNMDSF North Shields, OSG Ltd., Seaham Seafarers Centre and The Mission to Seafarers, Flying Angel Club, South Shields. The Committee discusses maritime welfare issues of a national and local nature. PWC comments on grant applications to the Maritime Charities Funding Group of local interest are documented and passed to the relevant grant-making charity.
