This is a one day course designed to explore the benefits, obligations, and issues in recruiting and managing voluntary staff.

Course Aim
The course aims to give delegates an operational overview of the organisational considerations involved in effectively supervising volunteers

  • Different types of volunteer
  • Understanding of good practice in using volunteers
  • Managing and supervising volunteers
  • Dealing with difficulties that may arise with volunteers

Course Logistics
This is a one day course organised usually within seafarers’ centres and residential homes.

Course Funding
  • The Board will cover all course fees
  • The Board will not normally cover any travel or accommodation expenses
