NORTH WEST PORT WELFARE COMMITTEE

North West Port Welfare CommitteeThe North West Port Welfare Committee (PWC) meets three times a year, usually hosted by the Liverpool Seafarers' Centre.  The PWC also holds its AGM at Mariners Park, Numast Care Home in Wallasey. The Committee consider seafarers' welfare issues at a local, national and international level.  Topics can range from port welfare facilities in the North West region to the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006.  The committee also considers grant applications to the MNWB and the MCFGs grants programmes with comments and recommendations passed on to the relevant grant making charity.
