| Objectives / History | To relieve distress among ex-service men and women of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army Royal Air Force and Merchant Navy and their widows or widowers who, at time of application for assistance, are unemployed, homeless or for some reasonable cause in need. Facilities New Belvedere House, Stepney, East London Hostel for the homeless. Whitworth House, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex Retirement flats. London Relief Centre, 8 Lower Grosvenor Place, London SW1 S OEP Assistance to the needy through:- Cash grants up to £30, travel warrants, clothing and footwear, meal vouchers, advice and assistance on employment, benefits, accommodation and personal problems. |
