| Objectives / History | For the prompt relief of distress (particularly caused by ill-health or disablement) among seafarers of all nationalities and their dependants, including widows, residing in Great Britain. Examples of assistance given to: - help with fares to Dreadnought Hospital, London; assist the funding medical items such as nebulizers; household items such as cookers and washing machines. Applicants must be seafarers with long service, or intended long service (where accident or illness interrupted service). Applications for assistance, with full details of circumstances, should be addressed to the General Secretary at the above address. |
