| Objectives / History | The object of the Society is to feed, clothe, educate or otherwise provide for necessitous orphans of seafarers children throughout Scotland. This is provided by monthly' grants to the parent or guardian where he/she is able to maintain the home, under the supervision of an honorary representative, who takes a personal interest in the family. The Society also adminsters the Inverclyde Bequest Fund. This Fund disperses grants in relief of distress among the widows of merchant seafarers throughout Scotland. |
