Objectives / History Through the Family Support Scheme the Society currently supports over 450 children whose families have served in the fishing fleets or the Royal or Merchant Navies.

The aim of the Society is to provide not only the basic necessities of life such as clothing, but to allow the children to partake in everyday activities that will enable them to achieve their full potential and take their place in society.

Our financial support reaches out to single parent families (many of them single due to bereavement) and to families where one of the parents is too ill, or disabled to work, and the other acts as carer. All the families must be in receipt of a mean tested benefit before being able to apply for the Society's help.

The Society provides week-long seaside holidays for many of its beneficiaries in a number of mobile homes situated in holiday parks around the UK.
