Objectives / History The Manx Marine Society is a charity comprising persons with a specialised knowledge of seafarers, which performs two functions:-

1. Bringing relief to needy and bereaved Manx seafarers' families; and

2. By means of certain trust funds, assists the training of boys of Manx parents or boys born in the Isle of Man, to become officers and ratings in the Mercantile Marine.
