The Honourable Company of Master Mariners and Howard Leopold Davis Charity, for the assistance and relief by grants, allowances and pensions of necessitous Master Mariners and Navigating Officers of the Merchant Navy and their wives, widows, children and other dependents; and to assist the education and training of individuals serving and interested in serving in the Merchant Navy and those with an interest in seamenship or sailing.
