Objectives / History
Broughton House, Park Lane, Salford, M7 4JD, registered charity number 227864, was established in 1916 to care for service men who suffered injury during the First World War.  The home is constituted by Trust Deed and its objectives are to provide nursing care and a comfortable home to ex-Service personnel and merchant seamen who, through disability, age or chronic illness can no longer fend for themselves.
Broughton House is a spacious, warm and friendly home.  In its history over 6,000 ex-Service personnel have been cared for, a large number of them staying for many years.
The home as a Charity establishment relies very much on the public and Service Charities for financial support to ensure a high standard of accommodation and amenities.
The Home is daul registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to accommodate 50 residents.  Any ex-Service man or woman, who has served in the one of the three Services or the Merchant Navy, in need of care, can apply to stay in Broughton House.  The Home also offers a limited number of non-ex-Service placements.
Application for admission should be addresed to the Matron, Mrs Lisa Connolly.
