Objectives / History The Association was founded in 2000 as the result of a rationalisation of the three smaller voluntary societies based in Glasgow. The Society distributes one-off and regular grants to ex seafarers and their dependents as well as providing advice on Statutory Benefits etc. It provides a Clubroom for retired seafarers, and their wives or widows, where they may meet for lunch on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. A visitor will visit housebound members at home or in hospital.
