HUMBER PORT WELFARE COMMITTEE

The Humber Port Welfare Committee (PWC) meets three times a year, alternating meeting venues between the seafarers’ centres at Immingham, Hull, and the Mayors Office in Hull with occasional visits to Goole. The Committee consider seafarers' welfare issues at a local, national and international level. Topics can range from port welfare facilities in the Humber area to the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006. The committee also considers grant applications to the MNWB and the MCFGs grants programmes with comments and recommendations passed on to the relevant grant making charity.
